The Uncle Wilber Fountain

The Uncle Wilber Fountain, located in Acacia Park, has become a favorite summer destination for children and adults alike. Designed by Kat and Bob Tudor after Bob's uncle Wilber, the fountain offers refreshing water, whimsical movement, and great jazz music. The fountain is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and its opening is anxiously awaited every year.

The Smokebrush Foundation designed and donated the Uncle Wilber Fountain to the City of Colorado Springs. We actively participated in all design components and oversaw the creative integrity by working closely with all designers, engineers and contractors. We also coordinated the Friends of the Fountain Fund which will sustain funding for the fountain’s maintenance.
