About This Project

Nikola Tesla operated his famous “Experimental Station” in¬†a Colorado Springs laboratory from 1899-1900. Tesla described the research in the Colorado Springs Notes, 1899-1900. ¬†Throughout the years, Smokebrush Foundation has created several projects to commemorate Tesla’s time in Colorado Springs, including the “Tesla Toaster” and the 1999 short film, “Tripping the Light Electric.” The film was directed by award-winning cinematographer, Lance Acord.
